Terms of Use
bookahit is the booking and court-access system run by bookahit for tennis clubs. These terms apply when you use bookahit's website or phone app. Your club's own rules and terms apply too: you'll find them on your club's pages and accept them there when your club asks.
Your account
- Use your own name and an email address you can receive, and keep your details up to date.
- Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and tell your club.
- You can add your children under Family and book for them; you're responsible for what's booked for them.
- Club admins must use two-step sign-in where the club requires it, and keep their recovery codes safe.
Bookings and payments
- Bookings are made with your club. Your club decides its courts, opening hours, prices and booking rules, and bookahit applies them.
- Where your club charges for courts, you pay the club on Stripe's payment page, by card or another way your club offers. A booking that isn't paid in time is let go. Refunds follow your club's rules; if the club cancels your booking, you're refunded in full.
- Your club may need to move or cancel a booking (for example for maintenance, events or bad weather). You'll be told by email, and in the app if you use it.
Gate codes and opening gates
- A booking's gate code is for you and the people on your booking, for the court and the time you booked. Don't share it with anyone else.
- Only open gates and use courts you've booked or your club lets you use. Your club can stop codes and access that are misused.
- If you can't get in, contact your club. bookahit works to keep codes and gates running, but it relies on the internet and your club's equipment.
Using bookahit fairly
- Don't use bookahit for anything unlawful, or to harass or mislead other people.
- Don't try to get into other people's accounts or your club's systems, interfere with bookahit, or copy its content with automated tools.
- What you add (your partner profile, ratings and messages) must be accurate and respectful. You let your club and bookahit show it where it's needed to run the service.
Online lessons and YouTube
Some clubs show coaching videos from YouTube under Online lessons. They belong to their creators, and bookahit uses YouTube API Services to show them. By using Online lessons you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent the law allows, bookahit isn't responsible for losses that come from your club's decisions, its courts and equipment, or things outside our reasonable control.
Privacy
How bookahit handles your information is in the privacy policy.
Ending
You can stop using bookahit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why.
Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date above changes, and we'll tell you about important changes by email. Questions: the contact details on this page once published. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia (to confirm).
